Fijit Friends Yippits – What are they?

Get ready for Fijit Friends Yippits! These little dynamic dancing pets interact with fijit friends, newbies and you! The fijit friends were designed to be a little companions for girls, and now with yippits, girls get to have little companion pets for their fijits and themselves.

You’ll get all the information you need with respect to release dates, the entire range of yippits, where you can buy them online as well as prices here so keep reading! These little pets were announced at the Toy fair in 2012 and released in August. Smaller than Fijits and larger than Newbies, each one has four little legs, beautifully designed ears and a little tail. The little mouth and huge face literally lights up when you interact with a yippit. There are four of them, in four different colors, each having their own unique personality. They are –

Patter (In Pink)
Scooch (In Blue)
Plooki (Purple)
Skippa (Light Green)

How they work

All the Fijit Friends Yippits have a lot of smarts! Each yippit has a clap sensor. They can perform little tricks that you can train them on – Each can perform 6 tricks and comes with a card that explains how each trick is triggered by a corresponding number of claps. For instance to get a yippit to make big eyes at you and beg you’ll need to clap 5 times!

They encourage progressive play which means that the more they are played with, the better they perform the trick. So when you take one out of the box and load it with 4 AA batteries, she doesn’t perform the tricks perfectly straight
away. You have to train her, give her lots of encouragement, spend time with her (just like a real pet) and with practice she gets better. It’s really cute that they have movable feet. Look here for a full list of features.

Fijit Friends Yippits like the fijits love to dance! Each Fijit yippit comes with 3 songs, one of them being ‘ I love to dance’ All four of them come with their own version of those songs along with 2 others as well and they dance to them all. What’s really big here is that for the first time ever – Mattel has introduced game play with these little pets. Right now girls can play two games on their yippits. They are

Imagine the pattern game - Her lights will light up and you have to press the buttons on top of her in a specific order to win the game
Chase the lights game – Press as fast as you can to get the highest score to win.

This is a fantastic addition in my view because game play encourages repeat playability. It offers one more way to interact with a toy which is fun.

Fijit Friends Yippits Interact with Fijits Too

What’s really exciting here is that all the Fijit Friends yippits interact with all the fijits and unlock special features in them. A yippit will emit a sonic chirp when triggered and the fijit responds – She may say something like – “Hey little fella” for example.
